Leather Disclaimer

Please note that our Tan leather may vary slightly in shade from batch to batch. As we use genuine leather and work with natural tanning and dyeing processes, subtle colour variations can occur during production. These differences are a normal characteristic of authentic leather and are influenced by the tannery's dyeing process, making each item uniquely its own.

While we strive to maintain consistency, the colour of the product you receive may differ slightly from the images shown on our website. This is not considered a defect but rather a hallmark of premium, naturally dyed leather.

USEFUL INFORMATION

We offer complementary in-store collection & door-to-door delivery on all online orders to major cities and towns within South Africa at a flat rate of R120. To ensure that you receive your order as soon as possible, please supply us with all your details when prompted; your full name, street address, suburb, city / town, postal code, a contact number, email address and best date for delivery.

International Shipping

If you want to order a product to be shipped Internationally, you are welcome to email us at info@burgundycollective.com for a quote. Please note, any costs due to customs will be for your own account.

Kindly Note

All our products are handcrafted in our factory. We value quality and this does take some extra attention.
Our standard lead time for order processing is 3-4 business days excluding shipping. This lead time does increase during sale periods.

If you need the product you are ordering urgently, please reach out to our team to confirm stock availability and we will do our best to accommodate your special request.

If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at info@burgundycollective.com within 14 days of receiving your product. Include the reason for your return, photos of the product, and proof of purchase.

For exchanges or returns, you must notify us of the shipping/delivery details within the same 14-day period. The item must be in its original, unused condition and packaging. TIP: Save the shipping materials for returns.

Note: You will be responsible for the courier costs.

Once we receive your return, we'll inspect it to ensure it meets our return conditions. Non-faulty returns will incur a 10% handling fee. You can choose between store credit or a cash refund.

We do not accept return/exchange requests after 14 days.

Please keep in mind:

Sale items are final sales and can only be exchanged if defective.
In the event of defect, Burgundy Collective reserves the right to repair or replace the product.
We do not cover returns for products purchased from third-party resellers, except under the basic warranty.
Non-faulty item returns will incur a 10% handling fee.
Return shipping is at your own expense.
Shipping costs are non-refundable once an order has been delivered.

At Burgundy Collective, we stand by the quality and craftsmanship of our products. We proudly offer a comprehensive warranty to give you peace of mind when making a purchase. Here's what you need to know:

Warranty (excludes Footwear) :

We offer a lifetime manufacturing warranty on our products & a 12 month warranty on hardware from date of purchase, with proof of purchase required, within certain conditions and exclusions. If the item, under conditions of normal use, proves to be defective, we will investigate the issue and gladly repair the item if possible or replace it free of charge with an equal or similar item.
The warranty excludes any damage as a result of accidents, including water spills or damage, alteration, repair by any party other than Burgundy Collective, transfer of leather dye or misuse.
If you bought one of our products and found any defect in the materials or workmanship, kindly contact us as soon as possible to resolve. Please email us at info@burgundycollective.com with all the information and photos of the product. Repairs can then be sent to us. Courier fees will be for your own account. Once inspected and repaired, we will ship it back to you free of charge.

The unique differences in the colour and texture of leather is what makes the product só unique. The leather may darken and soften over time, due to normal use and exposure to the elements.

Burgundy Collective leathers have distinctive character. The natural markings such as scarring, blemishes, insect bites, and stretch marks are significant characteristics of high quality full grain leather. We do not consider natural markings a defect and embrace the unique nature of every animal hide.

Footwear Warranty:

With a valid receipt/proof of purchase, we guarantee our footwear for 6 months from any manufacturing or material defect and will, at our discretion, repair or replace your pair. Please note that this is not a guarantee against normal wear and tear. Nor does it apply to a product that has been damaged by misuse, neglect, accident, modification, unauthorized repair or inadequate care that can be reasonably expected.
Burgundy Collective reserves the right to establish whether the product failure or damage is due to fair wear and tear or abuse, by doing a physical inspection of the product. If required, the item may need to be returned to our head office or factory for quality assessment.
Courier fees will be for your own account.

If a quality issue or manufacturing defect is identified within 6 months of purchase, we will make an effort to repair the item. If a repair is not possible, we will replace the item. Please be aware that repairs are intricate work and take time. A timeline estimation will be communicated to you as soon as a repair has been received and investigated.

If you wish to exchange your pair for another size (within exchange period), please reach out to us at info@burgundycollective.com with your original order number as reference.

Please take note that any pair that is being returned for an exchange or refund (within exchange period) must be in a saleable condition. This means that if the product shows any sign of wear (toe creases, dirty soles, missing laces, etc) it will be rejected for return.

Attentive service clinches the deal!

I was considering three different bags from three different vendors. At the end of the day, with each bag having their merits (and in a similar price range), it was the responsiveness of Burgundy Collective which 'sealed the deal'. If you can't be attentive to me BEFORE you have my money, what will you be like afterwards!? So, I affirm and encourage Burgundy to continue in this way. It sells bags!

A piece of art!

It's a wonderful backpack. A beautiful piece of art, in it's own way. New, it's firm in structure, with the zips somewhat 'stiff'. But as it ages, it is sure to soften and ease. I LOVE the 'unvarnished' look of the Bourbon case, allowing the marks and scratches of use to add character. The internal divide, allowing separation between a laptop and a tablet, is not 'sealed' at the bottom, which I would have preferred - this openess means the interior is essentially one 'cavity, with small accommodation for pens, and a phone on the divider; and a zipped area. The two external zipped areas are immensely helpful, for regular quick access to things like office, house or car keys. The bag has no RFID. I am delighted with my purchase, and look forward to further purchases with Burgundy Collective!
